The dynamo (XDv, XDvS), battery (XBA) and e-bike (XE) versions of the PLATEO are only available in OEM.
The PLATEO rearlight is known for its mysterious look. It has a slim and compact design and truly adds a unique element to your bicycle. The PLATEO comes in three versions: dynamo, battery and e-bike and features the ground-breaking Light Guide Technology©, which captures the light from the LED and guides it to the sides of the rearlight. This ensures an optimal visibility, both from the rear and the sides.
Highlights
The looks of the PLATEO are not standard for a rearlight. It is almost as if you are carrying a humble reflector on your bicycle. However, the PLATEO features a high-power LED, which accounts for a nice light output. It is fair to say that the PLATEO combines the best of both worlds: a large reflector and a bright light output into a compact and universal design.

Functions & Performance
The bright LED of the PLATEO creates a light output of 5 Candela and a visibility of the light beam from 400 meters. Together with its large, integrated reflector, this rearlight offers optimal safety on the road, since you are not only visible from the rear, but also from the sides.
The PLATEO is available in 4 different versions and all of them have a flexible mounting system. This means that it is compatible to carriers with either a 50mm and 80mm bolt distance.
The dynamo version features the innovative Safe-Stop function. This function makes the light burn for 4 extra minutes after the bike stops and increases the safety for you as a cyclist tremendously.
The battery versions of the PLATEO rearlight are available with an Automatic Light & Motion sensor (XBA) or without (XB). This sensor measures the level of darkness outside and switches the light ON and OFF automatically.
Both battery versions of the PLATEO have a good lifetime of 70h. Both of them work with 2x AAA batteries (supplied with the rearlight). Is your battery almost empty? Don’t worry, because the handy battery load indicator signals you right on time to replace the batteries.
The e-bike version of the PLATEO rearlight is compatible with all standard e-bike systems of 6-36VDC.
The PLATEO rearlight is conform to German and Danish standards.
* The dynamo version of the PLATEO should only be connected to the dynamo (3W) via the headlamp and not directly to the dynamo (risk of overvoltage).
